Our Roots

Sikh Scholar Society is a group of like-minded professionals that came together to form a non-profit organization aimed at providing a scholarship opportunity to Sikh students interested in advancing their educational goals.
This organization began in 2019 when a group of Sikhs from the Bay Area in California banded together to assist in the educational development of Sikhs in California.
Our funding comes from grants, private foundations and individual donors.
Sikh Scholar Society is registered as a non-profit tax exempt organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code in the USA. Federal tax id is: EIN: 84-2811464

How we work

Transparent: selection of students for award of scholarships, are well publicized and fully and consistently adhered to
Accountability: accounts are annually audited and the audit report is available to donors
